Badass Gully

I don't really know Battle Chasers, but I really liked the idea of Gully. A pint-sized girl with HUGE ARMORED HANDS who uses her strength for things sounds pretty badass.
It's about time I updated in this blog - you guys have all been so awesome already. Now I better see some female franchises!

i'm not sure how they justify her "armor" in the comics...this is not a complaint

jouste: Calibretto

It's Calibretto!

This week for the Draww I chose that steamy war golem Calibretto who was really fun to mess around with, I'm a sucker for core simplistic design work and Calibretto really rides the edge of being intricate and easy to look at. I always wanted to hear this guy move around after reading the books, it would probably be a very cool sound.

I saw a few images where other weapons were erupting from his body so I decided to give him some extra melee power with the aid of some flailing sword and shield arms. I also tucked in his head to keep focus on his ridiculous arsenal.

Tyler: The Lizard

Hey guys...here's my lizard..i still have more i want to work on with it but i added a few things and posted it. not quite 2am but i tried.

Phill- The Walrus

not super happy with what i produced, but good enough to post

Toyebot: Mysterio

My Rogue choice ended up being Mysterio. "Expert designer of special effects devices (Holographics) and stage illusions, master hypnotist & prestidigitator, talented chemist and roboticist....also wears a fish-bowl on his head." It seemed so corny but it works... I'm dying to know who it is!

My version would have some showmanship and sassiness, David Copperfield gone bad! Heheh. Cheers!

jouste: The Scorpion

This week was fun but a  pretty quick decision for me. I'll always love how old school Stan Lee and Steve Ditko The Scorpion is. He's one of those guys that was built to smash the Spiderman! how cool is that! I decided to make him a little more of an every-man bank robber and TOTALLY TURN HIS COSTUME AROUND!!!

Now his stinger is his head and on the business end of his robotic appendage is a super scary and fierce scorpion bot! ready to do most of the heavy lifting! it was super fun to visit another retro-dude. although i do believe that he has aged pretty well design wise.

Tyler: Acroyear

Hey guys,

This is more of an illustration then a redesign . I've been looking at alot of Charlie Wen concept art from Thor and Dave rapoza's art and tried to go for that kind of a feel.

Toyebot: Biotron

Micronauts theme so I've chosen Biotron, Commander Arcturus Rann's robot co-pilot! Nothing fancy here just made him less bulky design and influenced by the Evangelion shape.

jouste: Baron Karza

For this weeks theme of Micronauts I chose their main bad guy Baron Karza. Growing up, I only ever saw the infamous issue one of the series with this mean dude looming in the background. He's pretty much the most evil looking thing you could really come up with if you were going for first impressions, a living suit of black armor that shoots lasers out of everything.

After doing some research i read that the dude could also launch his hands at stuff which made him instantly more badass than I originally imagined. So I tooned him up a bit and increased his chest size as well as adding some variety to his spines. He's also sent his hand to scuttle and attack some poor Micronaut. Hopefully they can escape the horrible clutches of Baron Karza! I had a lot of fun with this guy.
